— To start the Broncos drive, Jeanty is bottled up in the backfield. After a drop, Madsen connects with Bolt on a 17-yard throw on third and eleven. He makes a deep throw for Camper, but it falls short. After receiving the carry, Jeanty advances the pile for a nine-point gain. Madsen leaps forward for the first down, just past midfield, on third and one. Madsen picks up nine after rolling right and keeping it. At the moment, the Beavers have little response to the Boise State offense. Jeanty maneuvers forward to get a first down. For three yards, Jeanty runs. Five more are gained with a pass to Camper. Jeanty moves to the right, runs through a space up the middle, and takes it all the way to the end zone for a touchdown on third and two. However, the touchdown is nullified and the down will be replayed due to offsetting penalties. He takes the first down when Jeanty gets it again. Madsen throws to the end zone without finishing. Jeanty is stopped without any benefit. Boise State will attempt a field goal after Madsen throws incomplete. With 7:34 remaining in the third quarter, the Broncos increase their advantage to 24-7 thanks to a nice 44-yard goal.

Ball at BSU 25. Caples to Madsen for ten. Next, Camper for 14. Jeanty sprints for four. Then, with 28.46 seconds remaining in the half, Camper snags a 19-yard pass to the OSU. Camper for 20, Boise first and goal at the OSU 8. Bolt is in the end zone when Madsen catches him, but Robinson forces a drop with a massive stick.
