Three more collegiate baseball All-Americans are on the verge of being produced by the Oregon State Beavers.
In any case, that’s what Perfect Game forecasts.
Third baseman and infielder Aiva ArquetteBoth left-hander Nelson Keljo and Trent Caraway have been chosen for the Perfect Game preseason All-America Team.
Caraway and Keljo were selected to the third team, while Arquette, who transferred from Washington during the winter, was selected to the first team.
As the 2025 season approaches, Arquette, a 6-foot-5 junior middle infielder from Hawaii, is considered by many to be among college baseball’s best Major League prospects. He was selected to the all-Pac-12 and all-Pac-12 Defensive Team after hitting.325 with 12 home runs, 14 doubles, and 36 RBIs for the Huskies the previous season. Arquette is listed as the seventh-best prospect in the 2025 MLB draft by MLB.com.
The MLB.com stop 100 prospect list also includes Keljo (89) and Caraway (21).
Coming out of high school, Caraway, a 6-2 sophomore from Dana Point, California, was ranked as the 70th-best MLB prospect. However, he chose to attend OSU instead of the draft, and his collegiate career got off to a spectacular start when Caraway doubled and homered in his first two games. But 14 games into the season, he shattered his finger after getting hit on his right throwing hand while trying to bunt.
Playing through pain during the Beavers’ postseason run, he missed over two months of action and was never fully recovered. However, in his limited playing time, Caraway showed a lot of promise. In 18 games, he hit.339 with two home runs, five doubles, and 10 RBIs. He is anticipated to play a crucial middle-of-the-order position in the Beavers’ new lineup this season.
As a junior, Keljo, a 6-4 left-hander from Portland, is in contention to be the star of the starting rotation this season after spending his first two seasons in Corvallis in the bullpen. During his four postseason outings in late 2024, he became a dominant force, striking out 15 and giving up only two hits in 11 scoreless innings.
A season in which Keljo went 3-0 with a 3.98 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 43.0 innings was concluded by the impressive finish. Over the summer, he made an impression at USA Baseball’s Collegiate National Team training camp, which fueled his interest in the MLB draft.
On February 14, Oregon State, who started the season at No. 10 in the Perfect Game Top 25, takes on Xavier in Surprise, Arizona.
