West Virginia cornerback TJ Crandall opted to attend Oregon State, which is frantically acquiring transfers. This is the Beavers’ seventh transfer in as many days.
This past season, the 6-foot, 181-pound sophomore, who was raised in Sammamish, Washington, participated in 11 games for West Virginia. Crandall has two more seasons of college left to play.

Since Thursday, five players have agreed to transfer to Oregon State: Crandall, Nevada offensive lineman Josiah Timoteo, Southern Utah outside linebacker Walker Harris, BYU tight end Jackson Bowers, and Duke quarterback Maalik Murphy.
Crandall’s third institution will be Oregon State. After enrolling at Colorado State in 2023, he moved to West Virginia in December of last year. As a freshman, Crandall participated in 12 games for CSU.
Crandall received offers from Yale, Arizona State, Army, and Colorado State while he was a three-star prospect at Skyline High.
In the last week, Crandall is the eighth player to declare plans to transfer to Oregon State. He joins defensive tackle Tah-jae Mullix of Western Carolina, Murphy, Bowers, Harris, Timoteo, JT Hand of Arizona, and Keyon Cox of Central Florida.
