Oregon men’s basketball gains ground in polls after improving to 5-0

Following its most recent one-score victory over Oregon State, Oregon moved up in the polls.

After defeating the Beavers last week, the Ducks (5-0) garnered eight points, ranking 37th in the coaches’ poll, and are tied for 38th overall with 10 points in this week’s AP men’s college basketball poll. This is an improvement over last week’s four points in a tie for 36th place and seven points at 38th overall.

No. 13 Purdue, No. 14 Indiana, and No. 15 Wisconsin are the three ranked teams in the Big Ten. The AP poll also gave votes to Ohio State (29th), Illinois (31st), Nebraska (35th), Michigan State (36th), Penn State (40th), UCLA (44th), and Maryland (46th).

At the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas, Oregon will play No. 20 Texas A&M on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. on TNT and San Diego State on Wednesday at 1 p.m. on TNT. On Saturday, the opponent will be announced.
