Oregon football offensive lineman Marcus Harper II implies he’s back for Big Ten championship game

The city of Indianapolis In the Big Ten title game, Oregon’s offensive line might be fully recovered.

Marcus Harper II, an offensive guard for the Ducks, hinted on social media that he will return for Saturday’s (5 p.m., CBS) conference final game after missing the previous three games due to a left knee injury. A video showing boxer Gervonta Davis backflipping while Jay-Z’s “The Ruler’s Back” played, along with the lyrics “I Am Back,” was shared by Harper on Instagram.

Harper, the most seasoned offensive lineman for Oregon, has started two games at left guard and seven at right guard this season, totaling 612 snaps. He was labeled as questionable for last week’s game against Washington and dressed up but did not play after hurting his left knee in the fourth quarter of the game against Michigan on November 2.

Dave Iuli, a redshirting junior, played 126 plays and started the final three games of the season at right guard in Harper’s place. Kawika Rogers, a redshirt sophomore, played 120 snaps this season and shared time with Iuli.
