In 2025, Oregon will have a new defensive tackle on the field.
On Monday, defensive tackle Derrick Harmon of the Ducks announced his intention to enter the NFL draft.
Time really does fly by. Harmon posted on Instagram. I am grateful to God for granting me the ability to play this game, which I have loved since I was a child. I am grateful to my parents and family for their love and support throughout this journey. None of this would be possible without all of you!
From little league to high school, I am grateful to all of my coaches for mentoring and encouraging me from an early age. You are aware that this goes beyond football. After much prayer and family debate, I’m going to declare for the NFL draft!
This season, the redshirt junior recorded a career-high 45 tackles (10.5 for loss), five sacks, four pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
Nose tackle Jamaree Caldwell has yet to choose whether to use his extra year of eligibility as a former junior college player, leaving UO with 84 expected scholarship players in 2025, including nine interior defensive linemen.
