Oregon Ducks linebacker Jaxson Jones enters transfer portal

This is the second time the Oregon Ducks have left the transfer portal.

On Sunday night, The Oregonian/OregonLive reported that Jaxson Jones, a freshman outside linebacker, is going via the gateway. The news was initially reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Jones will still be eligible for four more years after redshirting for the Ducks this season. He hails from Yuma, Arizona, and was a four-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. According to 247Sports composite rankings, he was ranked as the nation’s 31st edge rusher and 398th overall athlete.

Last Monday, Oregon’s first player to announce their arrival on the transfer portal was Jac Qawn McRoy, a freshman offensive lineman.
