On Monday, the state’s correctional director revealed that he had engaged an outside consultant to examine the prison health care system, leading to the dismissal of the two managers who were in charge of medical care for Oregon’s about 12,000 inmates.
The health and welfare of individuals under our care are of utmost importance, according to Oregon Corrections Director Mike Reese, who announced the dismissal of Dr. Warren Roberts and Joe Bugher.
