In as many days, the Oregon Ducks have added a second defensive back through the transfer portal.
Theran Johnson, a redshirt junior cornerback, declared his dedication to the Ducks on Sunday. After four seasons at Northwestern, Johnson moves to Eugene.

Johnson, a three-star recruit according to the transfer portal, is from Indianapolis and was a three-star prospect in 2021. With 53 total tackles, 10 passes broken up, and two interceptions in 2024, he set career highs for the Wildcats and was named to the second team of the Big Ten.
On October 26, one of Johnson’s interceptions versus Iowa went all the way for a touchdown.
Following Purdue safety Dillon Thieneman’s commitment to the Ducks on Saturday, Johnson becomes Oregon’s second addition to the transfer portal.
