Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, stunned 12-year-old Malachi Weems.
After sprinting for a score during the Bills’ 35-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday, the star quarterback made history. When Allen scored a passing, receiving, and rushing touchdown in the same game, he became the first quarterback in NFL history to do so.
In the fourth quarter, Allen scored a touchdown run from 8 yards out.

After a team celebration, Allen strode to the fans and handed the football to a startled Weems.
Weems told reporter Michael Schwartz of WKBW-TV in Buffalo, “I just blacked out.”
Weems, a devoted Bills supporter, was going to his first NFL game in Buffalo after his parents bought him tickets and a trip for his twelfth birthday. The young fan’s excitement was increased by the fact that Weems, a Merrill, Oregon resident, was dressed entirely in Bills apparel for the game, which was covered in snow.
Weems discovered the significance of the football and Allen’s historic game. Allen suggested Weems may keep the ball, but he was more than happy to give it back to Allen.
Allen informed Schwartz, “It was meant to be because I gave it away for a reason.” I have enough game souvenirs and balls. I never see the material I put away, and I don’t find it particularly meaningful. I hope whoever owns it keeps it and appreciates it.
