A devastating incident in New York has left a community in mourning after a 32-year-old mother, K. Bedrick, caused a fatal wrong-way collision that claimed the life of her 9-year-old son. The crash, which occurred early Thursday morning, involved four vehicles and injured two other drivers.
Authorities revealed that Bedrick, who was under the influence of methamphetamine and had 56 prior license suspensions, was attempting to flee from a sheriff’s deputy when she drove in the wrong direction, triggering the tragic accident.
Despite efforts by law enforcement to stop her, Bedrick accelerated, leading to a collision so severe that her vehicle’s engine was ejected into nearby woods.
At the scene, Bedrick was found outside her vehicle, while her son remained in the backseat. Despite immediate CPR attempts, the boy tragically died from his injuries.
During her court appearance, shocking details emerged about Bedrick’s actions leading up to the crash, including the discovery of over 4 grams of methamphetamine pills in her SUV.
