When the news broke, Jes was in the middle of his shift as a cook in a Houston sports club. The newly appointed President Donald Trump has canceled the application that his wife, his 14-year-old son, and his 13-year-old daughter had used for five months in Mexico to get a visa to enter the United States.
He is being identified by his name, Pila, while his asilo case is still pending. He travels to Houston after receiving a citation through the same application to the government’s intelligent phones, known as CBP One. Since the Biden administration issued a policy requiring its use by the majority of asylum applicants by May 2023, the application has been the main way that asylum applicants enter the EE.UU.
The Venezuelan emigrated first in order to save money to pay for his family’s travels from the Selva Columbo-Paname to and from Central America. Their reunion appears to be close to the news of the moons.

This means that I will be without them for a long time, and they will be without me, said Jesus.
The announcement of the cancellation of the application very immediately after Trump assumed the position depresses the hopes of migrants, including Jes’s family, who believed they were migrants in the right way. They are currently in limbo, unsure of whether they should wait for another legal option, cross the border illegally, or go to war, and humanitarians are traveling thousands of kilometers.
As the family has decided, I would like to be with you.
Son mis hijos. “I can’t leave them,” says Jes S.
Pol tica fronteriza de Trump
CBP One lleg el lunes con una avalancha de directives ejecutivas para restricting migration and declaring a national emergency along the border. In June 2024, former President Joe Biden already has access to asylum using a policy that would likely be the most popular among entry-level applicants. Until the lunes were removed, the CBP One application maintained some access to the asilo.
The defenders of immigrants’ rights argued that the termination of the application, together with other border-based security and immigration policies announced on the lunes, did not stop immigration, but rather made it more dangerous.
In a statement, Abby Maxman, president and executive director of Oxfam America, a global organization that fights poverty and inequality, confirmed that these policies separate families, criminalize already marginalized people, put asylum seekers in danger, and directly benefit criminal organizations that take advantage of their vulnerability on our southern border.
The termination of the application was imposed immediately on the courts by the United States Civil Liberties Union, which requests an immediate reunion with the court and directs the courts to act quickly to restore access to the asylum.
The goal of CBP One is just the beginning of the changes Trump intends to make along the border. Trump also promised to reestablish the policy of staying in Mexico, which required asylum seekers to wait for their court appearances in dangerous Mexican border cities.
However, putting this policy into practice may prove challenging. The Supreme Court previously ruled in favor of the Bidende administration’s decision to stop the program. Politics also depends on Mexico’s cooperation, which is clear.
Todo se viene abajo
The migrants in a Reynosa albergue were relieved to learn that R, a 54-year-old woman, suffered from the dangers posed by the pandilleros in her Honduran coastal city, with a height of one o. During the course of an hour, they had a cita.
Imag nate esperas y de repente se viene abajo. “It’s very sad for us,” said R. The migrants who stay in Mexico are identified by their initials because of the threats to their safety and the violence they endure.
I, a 38-year-old rescuer who was the victim of abuse, waited five months for a cita in the same shelter with my 12-year-old son.
We pray that God will see the president’s heart and see everyone who is in this refuge with us, he said. I hope that we will have the chance to work while facing many challenges.
The migrants who obtained some of the most recent CBP One citations stated that they were grateful for the chance to enter the EU but wished that other migrants would have the same opportunity.
After a lengthy wait in Mexico, 44-year-old journalist Carlos Duarte, who is aware of the dangers posed by his work in Honduras, reports that he was able to obtain a CBP One citation in December.
Nos vamos. Our suffering has come to an end, and she told her woman while she was embracing her.
Duarte, who is currently in Houston, made contact with friends who still live in Mexico in anticipation of their citas, many of them were contradictory and had trouble explaining the change to their children.
“The cancellation of CBP One has caused a lot of pain,” Duarte said. There is a lack of official information regarding how these families who have been waiting for so long might be given priority to enter legally.
Delmy, who is 40 years old and has been threatened by band members in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, entered the United States through a CBP One citation a few days prior to the opening.
I was saddened to learn that so many people, with whom we are all bashed, are waiting for a cita, said Delmy, who is identified by his pila name while his asilo case is still pending.
At the end of his shift, after talking with his woman all night, Jes s says he wants to continue believing in this miracle.
We will wait to see what the president does. If he decides to open another program for the people who are in Mexico, Jes s. said.
Although they hope their family will get another chance to visit the United States, their top priority is to be together wherever they are.
