Midwest grocery chain Hy-Vee has announced that customers can now pay for their groceries using PayPal and Venmo. These new payment options are available for those using Hy-Vee’s Aisles Online platform for pickup and delivery orders.
Hy-Vee President Jody Gosch highlighted that this change aims to meet the increasing demand for online grocery shopping. Kurt Campisano from PayPal noted that online grocery shopping through platforms like Hy-Vee’s Aisles Online has surged significantly over the past five years. By integrating PayPal and Venmo, Hy-Vee aims to streamline its payment processes while offering secure payment methods for its customers.
This initiative places Hy-Vee among other major retailers, such as Aldi, Whole Foods, and Target, which have also updated their payment methods recently, notably by discontinuing the acceptance of personal checks.
