In celebration of National French Fry Day on July 12, McDonald’s is offering free fries to its customers. This special promotion allows patrons to enjoy a free medium order of McDonald’s world-renowned fries with a minimum purchase of $1 through the McDonald’s app. The deal continues into the following day, July 13, with any size order of fries available for free, no purchase necessary, via the app. Additionally, first-time users of the McDonald’s app can get a free Big Mac with their initial $1 purchase.

The promotion is exclusive to app users, who can find the offer in the “Deals” section of the McDonald’s app. To redeem the free fries, customers must visit participating McDonald’s locations on the specified dates.

Meanwhile, Ohio boasts one of the most unique McDonald’s locations in the world. Known as “The White House of McDonald’s” or “McMansion,” this two-story restaurant in Independence combines the classic menu with colonial decor, offering chandeliers, a grand staircase, and sophisticated artwork for a unique dining experience.

McDonald’s is not the only restaurant celebrating National French Fry Day. According to USA Today, other chains are also offering special deals. Arby’s is providing any size order of fries for $1 throughout July for its rewards members. Bar Louie offers 50% off truffle fries during happy hour on July 12. Checkers & Rally’s is holding a contest for free fries for a year, and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers offers free fries with app orders on July 13 and 14. Jack in the Box provides free fries every Friday for the rest of 2024, and Penn Station East Coast Subs, Smashburger, Wahlburgers, Wayback Burgers, Whataburger, and Wing Snob are also running various fry-related promotions.
