One individual was killed in a single-vehicle collision in Marion County on Wednesday.
At at 8:40 p.m., Oregon State Police responded to the collision that occurred on Oregon 22E close to milepost 38.
According to the state police’s early investigation, John H. Lambert, 60, of Salem, was driving an eastbound Chevy Silverado when it drifted off the road for an unidentified reason.
The truck rolled after hitting a tree trunk and going down an embankment.
At the scene, Lambert was declared deceased. For approximately an hour, traffic delayed while the inquiry was underway.
State police received assistance from ODOT, Gates Fire, and the Stayton Police Department. The cause of the collision is still being looked into.
