William Livingston, a man with a long history of randomly attacking women in downtown Chicago, has been arrested twice in the past month for assaulting victims near the Magnificent Mile.
Despite his violent past and being on parole for similar offenses, Livingston was only charged with misdemeanors in these recent incidents.
On August 25, Livingston struck a 15-year-old girl in the face while she was walking with her mother on North Michigan Avenue.
Just days earlier, on August 14, he was arrested for attacking another woman in the same area. Both times, he was released on a recognizance bond.
Livingston’s history of violence dates back several years. In 2022, he was charged with randomly attacking five women in the Loop and was sentenced to five years in prison. However, he was released early and continued his pattern of violence.
