On Monday, a guy detained at Warner Creek Correctional Facility in southern Oregon vanished after he walked away from a work crew.
Donald Jones, 39, is wanted by Oregon jail officials after he abandoned a team at Pacific Pine Wood Mill in Lakeview at 7:30 a.m. Officials from the Department of Corrections and Oregon State Police are attempting to find him.
Jones was found guilty of using a vehicle without permission and attempting to elude or flee a Coos County police officer. He has been incarcerated since June 4. July 22 is the earliest date of his release.
He is six feet tall, has brown hair and blue eyes, and weighs around 275 pounds. Officials said that after Jones left the group, he abandoned the blue pants and other prison-issued apparel that was last seen on him.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact 503-569-0734 or 1-800-452-7888, according to the Oregon State Police and the state corrections system.
