Man found dead after alleged robbery in NE Portland

According to the Portland Police Bureau, police responded to a complaint of a robbery and gunfire in the Hazelwood neighborhood of Northeast Portland on Monday and discovered a man deceased.

At 3:50 p.m., officers found the victim in a parking lot in the 1100 block of Northeast 102nd Avenue, according to the police. After being transported to a neighboring hospital, the man was pronounced deceased. Whether the man was involved in the suspected heist is unknown.

Police did not provide any information, and the victim’s name has not been made public.
