Man accused of kidnapping 11-year-old girl in Clackamas County

An 11-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from an apartment complex early on Monday morning, and a guy from Clackamas County is currently in jail for the crime.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Felipe Hernandez Martinez, 47, is charged with stealing the girl on Monday from the 4600 block of Southeast Roethe Road in unincorporated Clackamas County.

Shortly before two in the morning, the girl’s mother called 911 to report that her daughter had been taken up by an unidentified male, loaded into his truck, and driven off.

The girl informed deputies that the man had seized her and placed her in a red truck as she was strolling close to the apartments. She claimed that after he drove a short distance and stopped close to a few homes, she fled and hurried home. Her mother immediately dialed 911.

A red 1998 Ford F150 and a man who fit the girl’s description of the mannearby were discovered by deputies. Hernandez Martinez, a resident of unincorporated Milwaukie, was taken into custody following interviews and additional research.

He faces charges of harassment, a misdemeanor, and second-degree kidnapping, a felony. He is being jailed at the Clackamas County Jail on $250,000 bail, according to court documents.

According to court filings, Martinez’s next court hearing is December 3.
