Early Saturday morning, a tragic car crash on Chicago’s West Side resulted in one death and left three others seriously injured. The accident happened around 2:10 a.m. when the driver of a Dodge Durango was heading westbound on Lake near Kildare and collided with a sedan.
Both vehicles slammed into the pillars of a CTA “L” train, causing significant damage. Unfortunately, a man in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people from the same car were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
The Major Accidents Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash to determine what led to this tragic event.
