Anthony Davis and a future first-round selection are sent to the Dallas Mavericks in a blockbuster NBA trade that sends Luka Doncicis to the Los Angeles Lakers to join LeBron James.
ESPN’s Shams Charania revealed on Saturday night that the blockbuster trade also involves Los Angeles’ Max Christie moving to Dallas and the Mavericks’ Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris joining the Lakers. According to Charania, the Lakers’ 2029 first-round pick is given to Dallas as part of the trade.
According to Charania, the Utah Jazz are also involved in the transaction and will get Jalen Hood-Schifino from the Lakers in addition to two 2025 second-round picks: one from the Mavericks and one from the Lakers (through the Clippers).
The trade was confirmed by several NBA reporters using anonymous sources.
