According to a recent survey, Louisiana ranks among the top ten states in terms of nighttime crashes.
Omega Law Group’s survey revealed the states with the most risky late-night driving, with Hawaii topping the list. Data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration from 2017 to 2021 show that 59.01% of fatal collisions in Hawaii occur after dark.
Louisiana was ranked as the ninth state with the most fatalities when driving at night. According to the report, 55.54% of fatal crashes took place at night. The state reported 3,754 fatal collisions, with 2,085 occurring at night.
New Jersey had the eighth-highest number of nighttime crashes. According to the report, 1,556 of the 2,857 fatal crashes took place at night.
According to Omega Law Group, the top ten states with the highest rate of fatal crashes happened at night between 2017 and 2021.
