Loophole in state rules paves way to ever-larger solar projects on Oregon farmland

Due in part to a loophole that has made agricultural protections in the state almost ineffective, the expansion of massive solar farms in Oregon is probably going to continue.

Theoretically, the state’s productive agricultural land has had limited solar development for years.
