A plan to unionize under the Oregon Nurses Association could soon be put to a vote by more than 2,200 nurses at Legacy Good Samaritan, Legacy Emanuel, and Randall Children’s hospitals.
As Oregon prepares for the biggest health care strike in recent state history by Providence employees, the union made its declaration on Monday. Additionally, it occurs while state officials consider a planned merger between Oregon Health & Science University and Legacy.
