Former United States President Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, captivated audiences at the Republican National Convention with personal anecdotes about her grandfather. The 17-year-old shared how shocked she was to hear about his shooting incident during an election rally in Pennsylvania.
“On Saturday, I was shocked when I heard that he had been shot. And I just wanted to know if he was OK. It was heartbreaking that someone would do that to another person. A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing,” she stated.
Kai spoke fondly about her grandfather, describing him as a “normal grandpa” who spoiled her and her siblings with “candy and soda.” Her smile radiated pride as she shared these memories.
“The media often portrays my grandpa differently,” Kai noted. “But I know him for who he is. He is very caring and loving. He truly wants the best for this country. And he will fight every single day to make America great again.”
In a touching moment, Kai revealed how Donald Trump celebrates her achievements, such as making the high honor roll, by printing out her accomplishments to show his friends. She also mentioned how he frequently calls her during school hours to inquire about her golf games and share his own stories.
“He always wants to know how we are doing in school,” she added warmly.
