On Tuesday, brothers Jake and Logan Paul announced on social media that their next bout would likely be against one another and air on HBO Max.
The post, which featured a head-to-head photo of the brothers along with the date March 27 and the HBO Max logo, was titled “The Moment You’ve Been Waiting Ten Years.” The posts lacked additional information.
YouTube celebrities Jake Paul, 28, and Logan Paul, 29, are adept at generating hype. The biggest names in combat sports have expressed interest in their exhibitions. Mike Tyson lost to Jake Paul via unanimous decision after eight rounds in November. In 2021, Logan Paul fought all the way through an exhibition match against Floyd Mayweather.
The Pauls have had their fights broadcast on DAZN, Showtime, Fanmio, ESPN+, and Netflix; this would be their first HBO Max fight.
Tyson, the former heavyweight champion, and Jake Paul both set records. With $18.1 million in revenue, the Tyson-Paul bout was the highest-grossing combat sports event in Texas’ history, according to promoters in November. The fight received three times as many bets and four times as much money as any other combat sport in BetMGM’s history, making it by far its most-bet boxing or mixed-martial arts match.
Logan Paul performs for World Wrestling Entertainment on a part-time basis. He has won the United States Championship and competed in a number of high-profile live events, demonstrating his enormous success in the WWE. Only a few weeks would separate the altercation with his brother and WrestleMania, the greatest event on the professional wrestling calendar.
Whether Logan Paul and former UFC champion Conor McGregor will face off is uncertain. In December, McGregor announced that he was in early talks to battle Logan Paul in India with the family of billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani.
