This peculiar incident was reported to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) and took place on April 30, 2024, in Kendall County, Illinois. The couple described driving on a remote, heavily wooded road near Fox River and Silver Springs Forest Preserve when a large humanoid figure crossed their path at around 4:30 pm. The creature, estimated to be over seven feet tall, cleared the road in three swift steps without disturbing the tall weeds in the culvert on either side.
The couple, identified as Alan and Jackie Moreau, are baffled by what they saw. Jackie mentioned that her husband is an avid outdoorsman, making their account particularly credible. BFRO conducted a follow-up interview and found the couple’s testimony trustworthy, noting their willingness to reveal their real names to substantiate their claim.
This region of Illinois is notably close to where the “Dupont Monster” sightings were reported in the 1960s, adding an intriguing historical context to the Moreaus’ experience.
