Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, stated in a statement that the 2017 Grammy Awards will be about more than just recognizing and celebrating this year’s top performers. We are excited that so many of our community’s musicians are coming together now to help their fellow musicians and those affected by the recent wildfires.
It’s unclear how the red carpet coverage will be affected by the critical problems that will be discussed during the Grammy Awards event. Red carpet coverage is typically the goofy preamble to the more important show, the awards ceremony’s opening act.
