Here are the best places to eat and drink in the Portland area: Readers choice awards

The Readers Choice Award winner for finest sushi is Portland’s East Burnside Street’s Mirakutei Sushi & Ramen. The Oregonian | Mims Copeland

We hope you loved our Readers Choice Awards as much as we did, which concluded this year with the announcement of Arden as the finest restaurant last week.

Your fellow readers offer suggestions for the best sushi, pizza, coffee, or ice cream, depending on your preferences. Along the journey, we discovered many new locations and covered a lot of land. (Even though Si Se and Pizza Kat are now family favorites, I had never heard of them before.)

Here are the top five in each category in case you missed any of the fantastic selections along the road. Please leave me a note if there are any categories we missed that you would really like us to cover; perhaps we will next year.
