Port Washington, New York – North Shore Animal League America recently undertook a heroic rescue operation, saving 53 dogs and puppies from commercial breeding facilities across the Midwest. This compassionate effort was announced through a press release by the organization.
The rescued animals, which include breeds like shih-tzus, Havanese, mini-Aussies, French bulldogs, yorkies, and various doodle mixes, arrived at the North Shore Animal League America campus in Port Washington on Saturday, July 13th. They were transported under the care of Animal League America’s mobile unit, in collaboration with their longstanding partner, National Mill Dog Rescue.
Upon arrival, the dogs were promptly attended to by North Shore Animal League America’s veterinary team and pet behavior staff. Each animal will undergo thorough medical examinations, receive necessary dental care, and be given time to acclimate to their new surroundings.
