Googly eyes on Bend sculptures draw city’s rebuke, but locals love them

A pair of googly eyes is one of the unique sculptures on numerous of Bend’s roundabouts that you may see as you travel throughout the city.

The large plastic objects have been positioned on eight public art pieces by one or more people, seemingly in an effort to elicit some amusement. However, officials separately stated that the removal of the statues has cost the city $1,500 and posted on Instagram that the act could damage them.
