Former Trail Blazer Damian Lillard unloads West Linn riverfront mansion for $6M

Famous point guardAfter 11 career-defining seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard left last year to play for the Milwaukee Bucks. Lillard’s five-acre gated mansion in West Linn was quietly put up for sale, and fans bid farewell to Dame Time in Rip City.

The owner of the 15,000-square-foot estate with an infinity pool that seems to flow straight into the Willamette River is Daniel Crainic, the founder and CEO of Time Auto Group, a company based in Portland.

According to Terry Sprague of LUXE Forbes Global Properties, who represented Lillard’s family as the purchasers and sellers of the West Linn mansion in 2017, the property was discreetly promoted, never showed up on public sites like Zillow, and no fresh real estate images were taken.

A deed filed at the Clackamas County Clerk’s Office on November 26 states that the sale price was $6 million. Sprague was unavailable for comment.

Lillard still resides in the new home he constructed in Tualatin, which he views as his main home. He still participates in outreach programs like the Lillard Foundation, which supports Oregon’s youth’s athletic and personal development, and the anti-bullying program RESPECT, which he founded during his rookie season.

The Damian Lillard Toyota dealership in McMinnville is co-owned by Lillard and business associate Brian Sanders.

The resort-style West Linn home, which included a main house and a separate guest house, was acquired by Lillard’s family trust in July 2017 for $6,650,000. A 3,000-square-foot spa and gym featuring a Jacuzzi, sauna, and hair salon station is also available.

TikTok videos of the house shared by Lillard’s ex-wife Kay La Hanson over the years revealed areas that were kid-friendly. Before the twins were born in 2021, the couple designed a nursery, which was covered by The Oregonian/OregonLive.

Lillard prioritized security and privacy. Built in the Northwest contemporary style, the main house on a bluff at his old home is reached by a lengthy driveway at the end of a cul-de-sac that leads to a guard station in front of the security gate.

The guest house, covered outdoor areas, and colonnade along the sports court all have the same cedar and stone utilized for the outside of the house.

Over $73,000 is spent on property taxes annually.
