Former sitcom child star charged with domestic violence again

Zachery Ty Bryan, who played Brad Taylor in the popular television series Home Improvement in the 1990s, was arrested on Thursday in South Carolina for domestic abuse.

He was previously taken into custody in Oregon.

The WMBF reportShe faces charges of second-degree domestic abuse and was taken into custody on New Year’s Day. A $10,000 bond was set by the judge.

Citing records from the Horry County Sheriff’s Office, Fox News reported that the former child star was still behind bars on Friday.

Police told TMZ that after responding to a domestic dispute at a property on January 1, authorities in Myrtle Beach found that Bryan had engaged in a physical altercation.

In July 2023, Bryan was arrested in Eugene for domestic abuse. Two charges of fourth-degree assault were brought against him. As part of a negotiated settlement, one accusation was later dropped. According to court documents, he was placed on probation until October 2026 after serving seven days in jail.

In October 2020, Bryan was also taken into custody in Lane County. According to court documents, he entered a guilty plea to fourth-degree assault and threats in February 2021 and was given a 36-month probationary term.

According to Fox News, Bryan was arrested in October for DUI in Oklahoma.
