Former Oregon Ducks’ star tries to remain positive following the New York Giants’ sixth consecutive loss

On Sunday, Kayvon Thibodeaux made his comeback to competition. He observed the same thing from the sidelines as he did on the field.

The Giants of New York are a complete wreck.

Although Thibodeaux returned to the starting lineup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Giants 30–7 despite his presence. With the setback, the Giants’ losing skid now stands at six games, the longest since they suffered six straight losses in the 2013 campaign.

After having wrist surgery after the Giants’ victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5, the former Oregon Ducks star had missed the previous five games. Since then, the Giants (2-9) have lost, and their performance against the Bucs raised a lot of unwelcome concerns.

“Man,” Thibodeaux told reporters following the game, “I just try to keep my emotions real, poised, and calm.” At this point, all you can do is attempt to keep your attention on what we as the outside linebacker group and defense can improve upon and offer to the team.

After three quarters, the Buccaneers, who ended their own four-game losing streak, led 30-0 after scoring on five of their first six possessions. The Buccaneers finished with 450 yards to the Giants’ 245 after holding New York to three first downs and 45 yards in the first half. All four of the Buccaneers’ scores were on the run, and they averaged 7.3 yards per play.

After benching starting quarterback Daniel Jones and ultimately releasing their first-round pick (No. 6) in the 2019 NFL draft, coach Brian Daboll left the Giants reeling going into the game. Several players questioned the team’s effort as a result of the emotional turmoil that spilled over onto the field.

Malik Nabers, a rookie wide receiver, described the player’s effort as “soft.” Jermaine Eluemunor, the starting offensive lineman, stated that he doesn’t think players are giving it their best on the field.

In his evaluation, Thibodeaux didn’t go as far as Nabers and Eluemunor. According to Thibodeaux, each player needs to return to the fundamentals from a defensive standpoint.

Thibodeaux told reporters that he believed it began with the individual. We need to return to the basics. Making tackles and putting offensive players on the ground are key components of football. That’s something we need to do much better.

There isn’t much time for the Giants to mope about the defeat. On Thanksgiving, they will play the Dallas Cowboys. According to Thibodeaux, if the club hopes to break the losing run, they must do a better job of concentrating on the basics.

We must take action. We must unite. It looks fantastic when we finally arrive. “It looks terrible when we don’t,” Thibodeaux told reporters. simply having more acuity. We simply need to improve on our particular foundations, in my opinion.
