Five-star, two-sport athlete Kendre Harrison commits to Oregon Ducks

An outstanding football and basketball prospect has committed to the Oregon Ducks.

On Saturday, five-star tight end Kendre Harrison formally committed to Oregon, beating out Penn State, Miami, and North Carolina.

Harrison, a native of North Carolina, is ranked ninth overall and first among tight ends in the 2026 class by 247Sports composite rankings.

Harrison, who stands 6′ 7″ and weighs 243 pounds, is a standout power forward for Reidsville High School’s basketball team. Harrison is ranked as the 39th player in his class and a four-star basketball prospect by ESPN.

The Ducks currently have eight players in their 2026 class thanks to Harrison’s commitment. Among them are four-star defensive linemen Tohumini Topui (California) and Tony Cumberland (Oregon); five-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene (California); three-star defensive lineman Viliami Moala (Utah); four-star quarterback Jonas Williams (Illinois); and three-star edge rusher Dutch Horisk (California).
