Firefighters respond to Oregon City basement explosion that injured one

According to firemen, a basement explosion on the 900 block of 7th Street in Oregon City on Sunday morning injured one person.

Just before 8:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a complaint about an explosion at a business facility that resulted in a basement fire. As soon as they got there, emergency personnel put out the fire, according to Clackamas Fire spokesperson Izak Hamilton.

The victim, whose identity was withheld by officials, was sent to the hospital.

According to Hamilton, investigators at the scene have not yet identified the cause of the explosion.

The district posted on social media that 7th Street has partially reopened.
