Fatal Muscatine County Crash Claims Life of 48-Year-Old Man

The Iowa State Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal crash in Muscatine County as 48-year-old Darrell Allchin.

The accident occurred on Friday when a 2024 Nissan Rogue, traveling southbound on Taylor Avenue, failed to stop at a stop sign before entering Highway 61.

A 2021 Dodge Durango, also heading south on Highway 61, collided with the Rogue, unable to avoid the impact.

Allchin tragically died from his injuries, though it is unclear which vehicle he was in at the time of the crash. The 26-year-old female driver of the Durango was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
