Expert Bo Nix, Justin Herbert, Troy Franklin prop bets: We recommend a +150 prop

The Denver Broncos’ relationship with the Oregon rookie is intensifying. Two weeks ago, Troy Franklin and Bo Nix connected for the wide receiver’s first NFL touchdown throw. In the following game, a decisive victory over New Orleans, they further solidified their position as a passing tandem.

Justin Herbert, another former Duck, has a smaller pass-catching group going into NFL Week 8 against the Saints. The Chargers have not scored more than 16 points in a game in 2024, and they scored 15 points in a defeat to Arizona.

With the poor Carolina Panthers, Nix and Franklin will try to capitalize on a prop-friendly draw. Another fruitful look at Denver’s future highlighted passing duo was possible. These are the Oregon alumni’s featured props for NFL Week 8.

Our expert prop bets for Bo Nix, Justin Herbert and Troy Franklin

  • Bo Nix 2+ TD passes:

    +150 at DraftKings

  • Justin Herbert Under 197.5 passing yards:

    -110 at bet 365

  • Troy Franklin Over 28.5 receiving yards:

    +114 at FanDuel

Best Bo Nix prop bet: 2+ TD passes

The odds at DraftKings are +150.

Nix has a chance to exploit a squad that is beset by injuries on both sides of the ball in this clash. The absence of quarterback Andy Dalton won’t assist the Carolina defense, which has been plagued by health problems all season.

Carolina is tied for third place in the NFL with 14 touchdown passes given to quarterbacks so far this season. The Panthers’ defense, led by quarterback Bryce Young, should dominate, giving Denver good field position and numerous chances to take on the league’s poorest defense in terms of points allowed (34.7 per game).

Due to the defense’s dominance, Nix was not required to record any touchdown passes during the rout of the Saints. Nix passed for two touchdowns in each of the two games before last week. He should be able to outpoint Young, which is something that most quarterbacks can do with ease.

Best Justin Herbert prop bet: Under 197.5 passing yards

The odds at bet365 are -110.

This can initially appear to be a contrarian prop play. In terms of passing yards given to opposition quarterbacks, the Saints are ranked 28th. Against Arizona, Herbert passed for a season-high 349 yards.

However, in four of his five games prior to Week 7, Herbert was unable to pass for 180 yards. Now that WR availability is a problem, he might not have enough ammunition to win, even in a game that looks pass-friendly.

This week’s practices were missed by Ladd McConkey (hip) and Quentin Johnston (ankle). Due to his groin, DJ Chark hasn’t performed yet this season and hasn’t played much during sessions. Hayden Hurst (groin) was limited, while tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) missed practice as well.

The Los Angeles passing game has been sluggish when the WRs and TEs have been on the field, even if some of the injured guys are able to play. The Chargers won’t be able to rely on Herbert and can let their defense control the game.

Best Troy Franklin prop bet: Over 28.5 receiving yards

-114 odds at FanDuel

Franklin should have no trouble clearing this prop because he has been participating more in the offensive flow during the last two games. In his last two games, he has accumulated 81 receiving yards, 50 of which came in Week 7.

Denver’s 2024 fourth-round draft selection is interfering with Sean Payton’s preference for some of his offensive playmakers who are younger. In Week 7, Franklin set season highs with five receptions and six targets.

The Panthers had the 25th-highest receiving yards allowed to opponent wide receivers over the previous four weeks.
