Eugene police seek good Samaritan in Nov. 16 car crash

In order to honor her talent, effort, and compassion, Eugene police are searching for the emergency room nurse who assisted a collision victim a month ago.

According to a statement released by the Eugene Police Department on Monday, Deputy Chief Shawn Adams discovered a head-on collision on Oregon 18 close to the Willamina Junction at approximately 11 a.m. on November 16 and began providing emergency assistance to one of the drivers.

Adams was soon approached by a woman who introduced herself as an emergency room nurse and went by the name Mikayla, whose spelling is uncertain. While firefighters were cutting into the car’s roof, the woman continued to tend to the driver.

In the police department’s statement, Adams stated, “I think she might have saved this driver’s life.” I am aware that her efforts had a beneficial effect on this driver, at the very least.

Before emergency personnel could obtain Mikayla’s whole identity, she fled the scene of the collision. Adams can be reached by email at [email protected] if you know her.
