Driver Loses Control, Crashes Into South L.a. Church, Leaving Major Damage Behind

A car crashed into a church early Friday morning, causing damage to the structure. At about 2:00 in the morning, officers from the Southeast Division of the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a car crash that had damaged a church in the 10000 block of South San Pedro Street.

First responders found the driver and assessed him when they arrived. The incident caused damage to the church’s foundation as well as a fence.

There was another collision at the Century Blvd and San Pedro St intersection, although it is not apparent if they are related.
