A teenager and a man were injured in a shooting near a CTA bus turnaround on Chicago’s South Side, as reported by the police. The shooting took place around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday in the 7900 block of Halsted Street.
A 39-year-old man was standing at the Gresham bus turnaround when a suspect approached and demanded his belongings. When the man attempted to flee, the suspect opened fire, hitting him in the abdomen and back. The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The same suspect then shot a 17-year-old boy who was nearby, inflicting gunshot wounds to his legs.
No suspects have been apprehended so far. Detectives from Chicago Police Department Area Two are investigating the incident as an armed robbery.
