In a surprising turn of events, four teenage boys were arrested this week in Chicago’s Little Italy area after they were accused of robbing a man. The suspects include a 12-year-old, a 13-year-old, and two 15-year-olds. They face serious charges, with each of them being charged with aggravated robbery, a felony indicating they were armed with firearms.
The incident took place just before 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. The group allegedly approached a 48-year-old man in the 1200 block of South Halsted, where they implied they had weapons and stole his personal belongings. Fortunately, the police were quick to respond. Within minutes of the robbery, officers were able to arrest the four teenagers in the 1700 block of South Halsted.
The 13-year-old suspect also faces an additional charge for possessing a replica firearm or a pellet gun. However, the police have not released any further details about the incident or the suspects.
