According to authorities, the body of a man from North Bend who had been missing since December 15 was discovered Sunday morning.
After going to photograph the king tides that surged along the Oregon coast that weekend, Joseph Neill disappeared. In the days and weeks that followed, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, North Bend police, and numerous volunteers looked for him. His vehicle was discovered across the bay from North Bend, close to Joseph Point.
