Around noon on Sunday, a body was found in the Willamette River, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Bryan White said on Sunday that river patrol deputies had been called to the area around the Morrison Bridge to retrieve a body that had been discovered floating in the river. Firefighters from Portland helped with the endeavor.
On Sunday, there was no more information available. Until the remains are identified by the medical examiner, which should happen by Monday at the latest, White stated that none would be made public.
