Robert Williams III, the backup center for the Portland Trail Blazers, was unable to return after suffering a right knee injury during Saturday night’s game against Minnesota.
After grabbing four boards and six points in less than eight minutes, Williams hurt his right knee in the second quarter.
Williams missed 76 games due to an injury to his right knee early in the previous season. This season, he has played in 19 of 33 games.
Chauncey Billups, the coach of the Blazers, recently expressed his satisfaction that Williams had not missed any time because of his right knee. His right hand pain, sickness, and hamstring injury were the main reasons he missed games.
In a back-to-back, Williams does not participate in both games.
In the fourth quarter, the Blazers outscored the Timberwolves 86-82.
