A woman who allegedly threatened campers near the Moda Center for a Billie Eilish concert was taken into custody by police on Saturday. According to the police, the woman took the campers’ sleeping bag and threatened them with a knife.
At approximately 11 a.m. on Saturday, Portland police officers responded to a stabbing complaint in the Lloyd District, which is located close to North Williams Avenue and Northeast Multnomah Street. No one was hurt when the first policemen arrived, according to the police, so they started looking for a culprit.
Before a concert, two campers near the venue reported to authorities that the same guy brandished a knife at them. Sunday night is when Eilish is supposed to perform.
Jessica Bailey said KOIN 6 that the woman approached her and her family, demanding money or their sleeping bag, as they were camped at the intersection to secure a good spot for general admission seats.
Angelique Butler, 52, was taken into custody by officers after they found a large kitchen-style knife and the sleeping bag on her.

Bailey informed the TV station that she also witnessed Butler threatening a biker by stabbing him or close to him with her knife. She did not know if the man was injured. The man who may have been stabbed was nowhere to be found, according to police.
Butler is still being held in the downtown jail in Multnomah County on charges of robbery, threats, disorderly conduct, and illegal weapon usage. On Monday, she will appear in Multnomah County Circuit Court.
A separate arrest warrant was filed for Butler in connection with a Multnomah County criminal mischief case.
