Jason Ostrego, a 28-year-old man from Bartlett, Illinois, was sentenced to 19 years in prison for a hate crime and stabbing incident outside an Elgin bar. The attack occurred on January 31, 2022, when Ostrego, following a heated argument inside the bar, used a pocket knife to stab one man in the chest and slash another in the face after they were all ejected from the premises.
