On January 28, 2025, Barbara F. Cardea (n e Flade) of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, passed away quietly in the company of her loved ones. 90 years old. beloved spouse of Dr. Donald J. Cardea, who passed away. devoted mother of Robert W. Cardea and James D. Cardea (Frances). devoted grandma to Darby Cardea, Katherine, Dylan, Cooper, Kelly, and Jaimie Cardea Higgins and Colton. Sawyer Higgins’ devoted great-grandmother. Dear sister of Albert Flade, who passed away.After growing up in Leonia, New Jersey, Barbara and her family relocated to Cherry Hill in 1972. After teaching first grade at Anna C. Scott Elementary School in Leonia, she went on to teach at the George Washington School in Camden, New Jersey. Barbara enjoyed taking trips and hanging out with her friends, kids, and grandkids. She volunteered at the care and share shop and the library while she was a busy member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Cherry Hill. Barbara’s disposition was unflappable, and she was able to endure hardship. In addition to her well-known corn casserole, she will be remembered for her artistic talent, charity, and thoughtfulness.Trinity Presbyterian Church, 499 E. Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034, is open for visits on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Funeral rites Saturday at 12 p.m. Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ, is the place of burial. Donations in her honor may be sent to Trinity Presbyterian Church at the aforementioned address in place of flowers.
