Three teenagers were charged following an armed robbery in Chicago’s Cragin neighborhood on Sunday evening. According to police reports, two 14-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were apprehended less than an hour after they allegedly held up a 47-year-old man at gunpoint.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on the 2900 block of North Mango Avenue. The suspects were arrested in different locations: one on the first block of North Western Avenue and the others on the 300 block of North Kedzie Avenue. When they were caught, they had a stolen vehicle from the 3600 block of North Avondale Avenue.
All three teenagers were charged with felony armed robbery. Additionally, the two 14-year-olds were charged with felony possession of a stolen vehicle, and the 16-year-old received a misdemeanor charge. They were scheduled to attend a juvenile detention hearing on Monday.
