Andrew Cuomo’s Swanky NYC Digs: Explore the $8,200-a-Month Rental with Luxury Amenities

Andrew Cuomo’s Swanky NYC Digs Explore the $8,200-a-Month Rental with Luxury Amenities

Andrew Cuomo’s daughter, Cara Kennedy-Cuomo, took the mic at her dad’s mayoral campaign launch last weekend, griping about the Big Apple’s housing crunch.

“As a person who just spent several months looking for a new apartment, I can tell you there’s not enough affordable housing,” the 30-year-old dished, adding that she’s now a “proud Brooklyn resident.”

What she didn’t spill? She’d just ditched a swanky $8,242-a-month two-bedroom in Midtown East that was rented by her dad and is now serving as his new digs

Cuomo, the ex-governor who’s called Albany and Westchester home for decades, slapped the ritzy East 54th Street address on his voter registration last September, records confirmed by The Post show.

Team Cuomo’s spokesperson, Rich Azzopardi, said the former gov’s been crashing at the luxe spot part-time for over a year, and it’s now his full-time pad.

“As Gov. Cuomo said in a December 2023 interview, he had an apartment in New York City and was splitting his time between the city and Westchester,” Azzopardi said, adding that Cara, fresh out of business school, had been living in the spare room before snagging her own place.

The 39-story Oriana tower’s got all the bells and whistles — think retro arcade, library, roof deck and even a pet spa for Cuomo’s Siberian shepherd, Captain. Plus, a garage for his muscle cars, as Curbed reported Tuesday.

It’s a hop, skip and a jump from Gracie Mansion — handy if he snags the mayor gig. However, his neighbors seem clueless.

“I know his daughter lives here and lives on my friend’s floor,” Cheryl Schwartz, 64, a retired teacher walking her toy poodle told Gothamist. “I’ve only seen him a couple of times.”

Occupying nearly 1,200 square feet, the unit holds two bathrooms, a modestly-sized gourmet kitchen with custom Italian cabinetry featuring Bosch appliances and bathrooms designed by Gachot Studio.

Gothamist also grilled 16 Oriana residents — most barely clocked Cuomo in the building, which boasts killer views of the East Side, Roosevelt Island and the Queensboro Bridge.

“I’ve just never been on the lookout,” said Suzy Diamond, a mom of four.

Meanwhile, his Democratic primary foes are swinging hard.

“Even if you put aside Andrew Cuomo’s track record of mismanagement and misconduct, the fact is he hasn’t lived in New York City for more than 20 years,” a Scott Stringer campaign flack blasted in October, slamming him as a self-obsessed suburbanite chasing redemption.

Current Comptroller Brad Lander piled on via X Sunday : “I’m running to bring back public integrity, strong leadership, and a love of NYC to make it safer, more affordable and better-run. And unlike Andrew, I actually live here.”

Flashback to 2021: Adams had to prove he wasn’t a Jersey guy, flaunting his Bed-Stuy fridge to skeptics. He still won.

Now, Oriana’s Heidi Cohen, 52, a Democrat with a mini Schnauzer named Louie, isn’t sold on anyone for June’s primary. She’s spied Cuomo twice in the elevator since fall — but not since his campaign kicked off.

He “doesn’t really chat with anybody,” she told Gothamist.

“I don’t really have a problem with all the talk about Cuomo’s past history in the sense that we have a current mayor who has, in my personal view, committed far worse.”
